What was the purpose of this educational trip? The trip was a resort inspection to get an in-depth look at the Domes Noruz Kassandra and its surrounding area. It’s all about seeing the property, understanding the local vibe, and experiencing first-hand what guests can expect.

Who hosted the trip? Domes Hotels, with our fantastic host Stew Plumridge, Luxury Business Development Manager - UK South & Ireland.

Where did you stay and what stood out? We stayed at the Domes Noruz Kassandra, a 5-star adults-only beachfront resort in Chanioti. The “vibe” concept is instantly apparent – from saxophone players by the pool to lively DJ nights. What really stood out was the service: staff went above and beyond, whether it was helping out in the resort or giving tips for exploring local towns.

• Domes Noruz: Adults-only lifestyle retreats, vibrant and social.

• Domes Aulūs: Premium all-inclusive, great value.

• Domes Reserves: Exclusive boutique escapes.

• Domes Find: Curated boutique stays with local inspiration.

Excursions and site visits? We explored Chanioti (5-min walk), Afytos (25-min drive), and the promenade in Pefkochori (9-min drive). Each offered charming bars, restaurants, local shops, and incredible sea views.

Standout experiences? The resort’s service was exceptional – staff felt like family, even outside the hotel. From prosecco on arrival to the General Manager joining us for lunch on his day off, it was clear that Domes really cares about guests.

Who is this destination best suited to? Couples of all ages will love it. While the resort has a social, “vibe” atmosphere, guests range from 18 to 70, proving it’s versatile and welcoming.

What did you learn to help clients? Even though it’s an adults-only lifestyle resort, the broad age range of guests was surprising. It helps when recommending to couples looking for a mix of relaxation, social vibes, and luxury.

Any surprises? Halkidiki is made up of three peninsulas: Kassandra, Sithonia, and Athos. Kassandra, where Domes is located, is lively with local nightlife and stunning views, which I’d recommend over other quieter areas.

Food and drink offering? Buffet and à la carte options cater to vegetarians and gluten-free guests. Drinks are of a high standard with cocktails, wines, and beers available throughout the resort.

Travel experience? Flights from Manchester were smooth, and transfers from Thessaloniki airport (just over an hour away) were efficient. The airport itself is lovely with cafés and duty-free shops.

Top tips for clients? Explore local towns like Afytos and Pefkochori to experience authentic Greek culture.

Would you return? Absolutely! Domes Noruz Kassandra exceeded expectations with its beautiful property and outstanding staff.
