Experiencing Mauritius First-Hand
As part of our commitment to offering expert, first-hand advice to our clients, Emma joined an incredible luxury educational trip to Mauritius, hosted by Marriott Mauritius and Cian Tjia.
The trip focused on inspecting three stunning Marriott properties across the island, experiencing the resorts exactly as our clients would, while exploring Mauritius’ breathtaking scenery, culture, dining, wellness experiences, and luxury hospitality.
From crystal-clear lagoons and mountain backdrops to world-class dining and unforgettable excursions, Mauritius truly delivered the perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and five-star luxury.
The Hotels We Experienced
Le Méridien Ile Maurice
Le Méridien made an unforgettable first impression from the moment we arrived. Open-air reception areas overlooking the ocean, refreshing welcome drinks, and effortless iPad check-in immediately created a luxury feel.
I stayed in a stunning Beach Bliss Junior Suite with direct access to the pool and beach areas. The resort flows beautifully, with dedicated spaces designed for every type of traveller - lively social areas, family-focused zones, and peaceful adults-only spaces.
The exclusive Nirvana Adults Only Wing felt incredibly private and luxurious, with its own dedicated pool areas, restaurants, and even butler service available.
Highlights included:
Beachfront private BBQ dining
Mixology workshop
Rum tasting
Spa treatments including a snow room with real snow
Exceptional sushi and seafood dining
This resort genuinely offers something for everyone — couples, honeymooners, families, and groups alike.
The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa
The Westin immediately gave a calm, wellness-focused atmosphere. The resort feels peaceful and spacious, perfect for clients looking for a luxury retreat while still having plenty of activities available.
The beautiful beachfront setting, incredible sunsets, and live saxophone performances created a fantastic evening atmosphere.
During our visit we experienced:
Resort and suite inspections
Wellness and spa facilities

Teppanyaki dining experience at Fusion Restaurant
The Teppanyaki dinner was one of the standout moments - interactive, fun, and paired beautifully with wines and exceptional service.

Wellness travellers

Clients wanting a peaceful luxury escape
The St. Regis Le Morne Resort, Mauritius
The St. Regis completely stole my heart from the moment we arrived.
Everything about this resort feels ultra-luxurious and incredibly special. Champagne on arrival, effortless check-in, personalised butler service, and staff remembering our names within a day made the experience feel truly world-class.
The setting itself is breathtaking - white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and the dramatic Le Morne mountain backdrop create one of the most beautiful luxury resort settings I have ever experienced.
I stayed in a Junior Suite with direct sea-facing views and experienced several stunning suite categories during our inspections, including:
Ocean Junior Suite
Heritage Ocean Front Suite
Le Morne Suite with beachfront access
The resort also includes:
Exceptional spa facilities
Paddleboarding and kayaking
Dolphin and turtle boat excursions
Michelin-level dining experiences
Family-friendly facilities including monitored children’s areas and babysitting services
The entire hotel experience felt flawless, from the thoughtful luxury touches to the genuinely outstanding service throughout.

Wine and rum tastings
Beachfront fine dining experiences
One of the most unforgettable experiences was hiking Le Morne Mountain. Although challenging, the panoramic views at the top were absolutely worth it and showcased just how diverse and beautiful Mauritius truly is.
The dolphin and turtle excursion was another standout moment - seeing both in their natural habitat was an incredible experience I would highly recommend to clients.
