What was the purpose of this educational trip?

To experience Princess Cruises first-hand as part of academy training, gaining in-depth knowledge of the brand, ship features, and onboard experiences to better serve clients.

The trip was hosted by Princess Cruises, organised by:

Where did you stay and what stood out about the accommodation?

I stayed in Ocean Cabin B706, which was light, bright, and beautifully designed – the perfect space to enjoy ocean views and unwind between training and excursions. Pleasantly surprised by the space, and perfectly positioned mirrors, plug sockets and surface areas.

What excursions, site visits or resort tours did you experience?

While this was a ship-based educational, highlights included:

  • Behind-the-scenes tours of the spa, fitness centre, and dining venues

  • Meeting Dr. Z to learn about a revolutionary aesthetic treatment offered onboard

  • A ship-wide scavenger hunt, tech demonstrations, and onboard entertainment like Rock Opera in a 932-seat theatre

  • Exploration of MedallionClass tech including Ocean Medallion features


Were there any standout experiences or “wow” moments?

Yes – several:

  • Touring the largest spa at sea, including its unique non-invasive facial technology

  • The seamless Ocean Medallion tech made everything—from cabin access to food delivery - effortless

  • Seeing Rock Opera live at sea was breathtaking and unexpectedly world-class

  • The fitness centre rivalled top land-based gyms

  • The Princess Plus package offered such great value, it genuinely surprised me how much is included

  • The style and design of the ship – sleek, modern, and luxurious


What was the food and drink offering like?

Exceptional. Highlights:

  • Specialty restaurants: Sabatini’s, Crown Grill, The Catch by Rudi

  • Casual dining: Alfredo’s Pizzeria, Ocean Terrace, Gelato Bar, Slice, Salty Dog Grill

  • Bars & Lounges: Bellini’s, Vines Wine Bar, Take Five Jazz Lounge, and more

  • Princess Plus & Premier packages offer excellent drinks and dining perks

  • 24/7 access at the International Café – ideal for early risers or late-night snacks

  • Variety, quality, and flexible options impressed me across the board

  • No flights were mentioned, but boarding and check-in were efficient and stress-free
